Robert Kuizenga Physio-manualtherapist
Robert Kuizenga graduated in 2007 as general physiotherapist from Academy Thim van der Laan. He also received his degree as work physiotherapist. In 2011 Robert also graduated for Master Manual therapist. Robert is working as consultant and specialist in spinal complaints at Sento Medical. Robert is teacher at Dunnewolf in Balance therapy. Balance therapy is made up of specific exercises using the sit ball and trampoline. Using this technique stimulates the body unconsciously to correct balance.
Additional to the above, he also studied the use of Medical Taping, Neuro dynamics and Mulligan. Medical Taping is a tape method used to stabilise joints and muscle function while stimulating blood circulation (also lymph’s) therefore resulting in a speedy recovery after injury. The use of Neuro dynamics is to ascertain the source of a complaint and set the treatment accordingly. The Mulligan concept is a mobilising technique which is a great advantage, 100 % painless in which the patient has a very active roll during treatment.
Mark Ruifrok Physiotherapist
Mark Ruifrok graduated in 2009 as General Physiotherapist from the high school of Amsterdam. Mark continued into the study of effort and practise physiology for sports, chronic disorders such as COPD and in revalidation. For this treatment program he makes use of the swimming pool and practise hall.
Mark is also a dry needling therapist. This method is used to relive tension and hardness (myofasciale trigger points) which may occur through (long term) over uses muscles. The needles are used efficiently to ensure a speedy improvement in the muscles. The use of dry needling treatment can be given to often chronic muscle tension in such a way as to inactivate the trigger points. This method is very useful against tension in the neck and shoulders.
Mark has been working at Sento from 2007, first as fitness instructor en since 2009 as physiotherapist.
